The beginning of the Best Actress and Horror film of all Time
In 1973, William Friedkin had need a girl that read in the film "The Exorcist." It presented more than 600 teenagers between twelve and sixteen years old.Friedkin, director of the film, chose her, a fourteen sweet and beautiful girl: Linda Blair. Il film narra infatti delle avventure di una quattordicenne,Christine appunto,che scappa di casa,stufa delle burrascose liti famigliari. Christine viene così inviata ad un riformatorio. Lì non trova certo un ambiente migliore,anzi! Cerca di socializzare *** le compagne,che,di tutta risposta,la violentano *** un manico di scopa. Il carattere della ragazza,prima dolce e disponibile,diventa forte e ribelle. Christine cresce,attraverso la sofferenza,impara a non farsi mettere i piedi in testa da nessuno e a dimostrare alle altre chi comanda. Io credo che "Born Innocent" sia un film realistico,che insegna che in sè stessi si trova sempre una seconda speranza. Naturalmente l'interpretazione di Linda Blair è eccellente. Miss.Blair ha interpretato molti ruoli complessi nel corso della sua carriera e quello di Christine Parker è,a mio parere,il più difficile. Nel 2004 è uscito il dvd di "Born Innocent" in "versione integrale",senza nessuna censura.
